Taking a leap of faith

It is my fourth day here at training camp and today is the last day we will be here. Tomorrow my team and i will be on our way flying to the beautiful Guatemala lands. Upon arriving we stayed the first night at a safe house. Kind of like a shelter. Our first activity was to walk around atlanta, Georgia and just talk to the people around us. It happened to be Dragoncon weekend where everyone is dressed up in costums and such. it was pretty much the most interesting thing i observed in a while. first i met these two men from brazil with my one teammate and we were just making casual converstation and at the end we asked them if there was anything we could pray for and they agreed to pray with us.then i met this guy and we started talking about video games and he said he was very interested in a certain zombie game and in fact it was the only game i play called left for dead. i found that very funny. so pretty much we were swapping stories about that subject. there also was a women next to him and we basically talked about everything and she seemed lost and just looking for something. I told her that Jesus Christ loves her so so much and has a heavenly father that will never leave her. I prayed for her and we hugged. It was a good talk. over all this experience just impacted me that i can get out of my comfort zone and be real with people about Christ all around me. so far this journey was tougher then i expected. i doubted if i should really be here, but at the same time i know in my heart that this is where God wants me to be and this is his purpose for my life right now. God is totally teaching me to break down the walls i built all these years and surrender my thoughts/actions/ and my life to him as his daughter. its not about me but about his purpose for my life here on this earth. Love to all, and take care 🙂
