Why am I here?

The last few days we have been at training camp.  It is absolutely beautiful! The land is covered with stately green trees and hills (mini mountains compared to Nebraska!)

So much has happened!  One the lighter side, picture each team facing each other in a very intense dance off….or almost 200 real-lifers dancing during “super-awesome-morning-time” to Lion King’s “The Circle of Life”!

But most importantly, God has been moving and working already in preparation for this trip. He has done many things in my heart, but perhaps the main work is that He has solidified my purpose in this trip.  He has faithfully answered the question in my title.

So, why am I here?

I am here to share truth.

I am here because I don’t know how many days I have, and I don’t want to waste them.

I am here to live radically.

I am here to see God move.

I am here because God has shown me his heart for the world, the hurting, the lost

…and I want to share it.

I am here because I want to be consumed with God.

I am here to pray harder than I have ever prayed,

….and to see God faithfully answer those prayers!

I am here because I am overflowing with his blessing and I want it to overflow to others.

I am here because God called me.

I am here because God will use me in my weakness.

I am here because this is the journey God has led me on.

***Side note: Our team verse: Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to Him who is able to do ABUNDANTLY more than all we ask or think, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Tomorrow is the day we leave for Guatemala! We are so excited!!!!
